About The Artist:
Born in Mexico City in 1957, David Burakoff has an interest in art that dates back to his childhood when he turned to drawing and painting. During his early years he was a student under such renowned artist as Isaac Stavans and Arthur Kronengold. He has received a degree in Industrial Design, completed a Masters Program in Design Management and an MBA. In 1988, he began experimenting with sculpture and developing his voice as a sculptor. His designs are generally elongated and graceful, slightly resembling the work of Giaccometti. He now resides in Southern California.
