Kuan Yin, also known as Kwan Yin, Quan Yin, Quan'Am, Kannon, Kanin, Guan Yin or Guanyin is the bodhisattva of compassion. She is known in the West as the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion and is also revered by Chinese Taoists as an Immortal. She is generally seen as a source of unconditional love and more importantly as a savior. In her bodhisattva vows, she promises to answer the cries and pleas of all beings and to liberate all beings from their own karmic woes.
